HINDON CANAL ROAD STRETCH FROM VASHUNDHARA TO VAISHALI


The road along with canal from Vashundhara to Vaishali is full of activity from lot of birds. A drive on this road given an opprtunity to capture variety of birds in camera. It appears this is the root source of birds visiting the dense urban pockets neighboring it. The birds spotted were
Laughing dove,
Eurasian Collared Dove,
Purple Sunbird (breeding),
Green Beeeaters,
Common Myna,
Brown Rockchat,
Red Vented Bulbul,
White Throated Kingfisher,
Green Beeeater,
Black Drongo,
Black kite,
Large Grey Babbler,
Oriental White-eye,
Indian Silverbill
Little egret
Common crow

Purple Sunbird (breeding)

Green Bee eater

White throated Kingfisher

Oriental White-eye

    Used to cycle along this stretch as kid to the Hindon barrage and Kanavani Vilage. The area near the barrage used to remain flooded and was a bird watcher’s delight. Glad to know the birds can still be seen 🙂
